Central Elementary School’s robotics teams made history with an outstanding performance at the state competition, earning top honors and breaking new ground for Marshall County.

The IronKnights finished 2nd overall, showcasing incredible skill, teamwork, and perseverance throughout the event.

The AutoKnights placed 12th overall and were awarded the prestigious Design Award, recognizing their thoughtful engineering process, creativity, and detailed documentation of their robot design. This achievement has qualified the AutoKnights for the VEX Robotics World Championship, held April 28-30, 2026, in St. Louis, Missouri.
The World Championship is the largest robotics competition in the world, bringing together top student teams from across the globe to compete in high-energy matches, demonstrate innovative problem-solving, and celebrate excellence in STEM.
With this accomplishment, Central Elementary becomes the first elementary school in Marshall County to send a robotics team to the world stage. The students, faculty, and staff are incredibly proud of these students for their hard work, innovation, and teamwork, and celebrate both teams for an amazing inaugural season filled with fun and learning. A special thank you goes to Ms. Hess and Ms. Rodgers for coaching and guiding students through Central’s first-ever robotics season.
